OpenVAS is officially accepted as a SPI project, see SPI page on OpenVAS.

Requirements from SPI

• DNS hosting for openvas.org, openvas.net and openvas.com
• Registered contact for OpenVAS OID
• Potentially acceptance of donations, holder of OpenVAS trademark, but not at the current time

Change control

• Any 2 of 3 project contacts must agree
• Agreement will take the form of emails signed with individuals PGP key to SPI appointed contacts
• Decisions to be taken by consultation on openvas-discuss on consensus based decisions
